Madeleines everybody!

This morning i baked some nice french madeleines with my mum. This is one of my favorite 4 o'clock treat! It is very easy and you need only standard ingredients!

Here is the receipe to do so : soooooooo easy!

For about 70 Madeleines :

- 500 g of flour - 350 g of sugar - 1 bag of baking powder - 4 eggs - 1 glass of milk - 1/4 litre of oil

Stir very well everything in the order above. Pour in a madeleine bakeware with 1 big tea-spoon at each time - do not fill fully.

Bake for about 10minutes at about 180°C / 350 F.

Wait the madeleines to be a little bit colder before to unmould.

Thanks Mamy'Line for this recipe!

Sunny day for a s/funny heart...

Hello!

Last tuesday we went to the Madison Square Park with my mum and Elanais. It was very hot that day so i brought my swimming suit as i knew there would be some water game. I had lots of fun!

There we started by enjoying a nice walk in the park - there were some strange and funny sculptures, lots of fountains and big skyscapers all around the place! Do you know the flatiron building? But my favorite place was of course the water playground! I loved particularly the round wheel swing where me and some friendly girls we could turn turn and turn! My head was feeling very dizzy afterwards! There was also a nice little playhouse with big ladders. It was a bit high for me but with some help i managed to go down.
After we went to Greenwich village and mumy brought us in a very nice ice-cream place : yogurt-land! This is a funny place where you help-yourself serving ice-cream with a machine and you can add lots of nice things... : nuts, candies, fruits etc. Me i chose a cookie, vanilla and coffee ice-cream with colorfull m&ms, gummy bears and confettis! Tonton Oliv' would love it!

After we went to buy french cheese as a special treat for the full family for later on : Comte and Tomme de Savoie. You should try these if you do not know them - my favorite ever is Comte! My little belly is always ready for some! and i ever tasted lots of it at the cheese shop*.

To finish that nice day we went to join my dad to have diner together - before he goes back to work. This is a very nice place and kids friendly place - we enjoyed our meal in front of the boats on the terrasse.

Then we head back home with my mum, taking the Path which goes under the water! It was time to go to bed, but after all my happy time that day... it was much less fun for me...

What a lovely day!

See you!

Me, Elanais 6 months!

Hi! This is the mummy of Elanais and Chloe speaking!

Big news : Elanais can crawl now and explore the world! Well our summer apartment is already an adventure!

She moves like a buterfly or a fish depending of the mimic she wants to give : forward and backward on her back moving her legs very quickly or swimming on her belly - up and down. She also flips on her belly and back moving from one side to another randomly.
She loves to speak and is not shy to share her impression with even strangers in the subway from her pram. She would like to hold everything and have a taste of it.
This little girl is very cute (of course!) always smiling and being very nice as a baby.

But yes of course she cries a bit like any baby, but mainly when she is hungry, dirty or very tired. Otherwise our little miss is like was her sister : hyper flexible! We/I can bring her anywhere, she will be just fine. She like to be held and to be busy to do or watch something. She even winge when a "toy" is putting away or if we do not give enough attention to her.

One clear thing is she is definitely ready to eat "normal" food like us. And she does show she is dying to do so. Because of the food alergy past on our both sides, we decided like for Chloe to start at 6months. "Puree de carrottes" here we come! She will start next week as daddy wants to be there for her first time. It is true it is a magic moment in a baby life and in a daddy/mummy one also. What a nice souvenir for Chloe first spoon, first taste, funny facial expression... I might post 2 photos of the girls starting to eat and you ll tell who is who!
Her first time on a big baby chair was in a restaurant this week on a nice terrasse nearby the marina for a family diner. What a spot! Sorry no photo captured that day...

She loves her big sister - you can tell! : she is always watching/admiring her giving her big smiles! And Chloe is calling her "ma petite puce" as a cutty little word. She reads her stories and asks for getting her baby sister on her lap. She kiss her goodnight and gives her hugs during the day - Chloe is very impressive as a big sister, new role she was well ready for. She even control and say no to Elanais when she tries to eat something she should not. Amazing, well for us the parents!

Physically she looks (i think) exactly like her dad - with my top part i guess. She is blond like he was a muscled like him also. She looks very much like Chloe at the same age.
Elanais is long for her age - she fits in a 6months size for now, but pygamas seem to be tight in length.

Bye now!

Visit of the Central Park Zoo

Waouh what a nice time we had today! We went for a full afternooon at the zoo of Central Park and it was pretty cool! We started by a nice picnic and admired the Delacorte musical clock with all these little animal moving around it. Then at the zoo I saw a sea-lion show, pingouins, monkeys, a jungle and its birds, polar bears and their swimming pool, turtles, swans and ducks, goats, porks and bunnies and much more.

The sun was very hot - i spent some time having my "4:30 o'clock" (=tea-time) under the shade at the zoo playground. In the little farm there was the spider web i loved it! I even met another little girl of 5 years old with who i played princess games together. I was Sleeping Beauty my favorite and she was Cinderella.

See you!
